Treasure Island: A Graphic Classic Review

I have to admit that I have often been disappointed in graphic adaptations of classic works. When I saw that the January mini-challenge for the Graphic Novels Reading Challenge was to read an adaptation of a classic, I decided to choose carefully. My caution definitely paid off with Tim Hamilton’s adaption of Treasure Island. Not only does Hamilton remain true to the tone of the language in the original classic, but he creates art that fully expresses the comic genre where the art enhances as well as illustrates the story. I recommend this one and want to look into the others in the Puffin Graphics series.
